Okay! I went to the restaurant Monday night despite not getting a confirmation from date guy. I figured A) we had set a time and place, B) it's only 5 minutes from my house and C) wtf.
Date guy was pleasant enough. But SO not over ex-Mrs Date Guy. In the end he asked for my number and I hate confrontation so much I gave it to him.
He called and emailed after that wanting to go out this weekend. Here's where I probably mindfucked it. I know when I go out with someone and it doesn't work I want to know why. So, in my email back I told him why. I told him he talked too much about his ex-wife and I'm so over and done with my marriage that I don't want to revisit that shit. I said that I felt he was too close to his divorce for a long-term relationship and that was what I was looking for. His response? he thought trashing one's ex is what divorced people DO. Huh? Oy. No loss there.
